Biography

James is an international photographer with over 20 years of experience working at the heart of the industry’s most competitive hubs, London and New York. Now relocated to the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, he brings a global perspective, world-class technical foundation, and extensive international experience to productions across the UK and beyond.

His professional DNA was formed at the highest level of the industry. James spent years working closely alongside legendary photographers Patrick Demarchelier and David Sims, contributing to the technical execution of iconic shoots for Vogue (Italy, UK and US), Dazed & Confused, i-D, and major campaigns for Chanel, Prada and De Beers. During this period, he collaborated on sets with A-list talent ranging from Madonna to royalty and elite global athletes.

Having honed his craft under some of the world’s leading photographers, James brings a global standard of technical precision and creative agility to every production he leads. His experience spans complex, high-stakes commercial shoots and international campaigns where clarity of vision, adaptability and decisive leadership are essential.

James’ photographic approach is defined by a sophisticated sense of composition and an ability to capture quiet intimacy and presence, even within large-scale productions. He works with focus and intensity, committed to translating a client’s vision into imagery that feels considered, elevated and unmistakably informed by years at the highest level of the global industry.

Now based in the Cotswolds, James works with clients, agencies and creative teams throughout Gloucestershire, London and internationally.
