Biography

James has worked with some of the most renowned and prolific international photographers for a number of years in London, Paris and New York.

Regularly collaborating with some of the biggest A-listers, including the likes of Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Madonna, Patrick Dempsey, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Alba, James has worked on producing images for influential fashion publications such as W Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Harper's Bazaar, Numéro, US, British, French and Italian Vogue and for global brands such as Ralph Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel and Lancôme.

Originally from Winchester, England James graduated from Bournemouth University with a distinguished Fine Arts degree in Photography.

Now residing in Helsinki James has earned a reputation for his sophisticated approach to composition, attention to detail, being able to capture the intimate and deep presence of his subjects, professionalism, and the positive drive he brings to the set.

With his vast and multi-faceted experience James understands the industry inside out, and has developed a rare gift for exploring the parameters of his art that underscores his deep and direct connection with his subject matter which delivers photographs that contain more softness and sensuality than precision and literalness.
